How do I tell the difference between application types on Apartments.com?

There's a number of ways to reach out to a rental listed on Apartments.com, and now with the Request to Apply feature, you have another means of getting in touch with a property manager. 

This feature will be present on every user-submitted listing and allows you to self-report your income and credit score. This information will be sent directly to the property manager, agent or whomever is managing the listing, and it'll give them a picture of you as a tenant before applying to the rental.

If your credit score and income fits their criteria, the property manager will have a chance to email you an invitation to apply to the rental.
