Payment FAQs for Renters

Did I make a payment?

Payments are labeled as "Your Payment." Click or tap the payment line to see more details. Apartments.com will also send you an email confirmation whenever you send a payment.

You'll also see Bills labeled "Due On" which tell you what is due and when. Payments and Bills are not the same thing. To pay a Bill, you need to make a Payment. Learn how to make a one-time payment or setup automatic payments

How do I verify my bank account?

You can connect your bank account directly or by entering your account and routing numbers.

Before we start sending payments from that bank account, we need to make sure that you're the account holder. If you connected your bank directly using your bank's login, your account is verified instantly. If you added your bank using your account and routing numbers, we'll need to verify your account with micro-deposits.

Why was I charged a late fee?

A late fee is applied anytime there's an outstanding balance on the ledger after the grace period ends. If you need to pay a late fee, you can do so by making a one-time payment. Property owners are the only users that can remove a late fee from the ledger, so we recommend that you reach out to them directly if you have any questions.

Can I stop an in-progress payment?

Unfortunately, we're not able to stop a payment once it's started processing.
